Senior Counsel
Ms. Lindsey Scott has been practicing law since 1984. Her practice focuses on business entity formation and counseling, business and tort litigation, counseling attorneys on ethics issues and responding to California State Bar inquiries.
Ms. Lindsey Scott has significant experience in forming corporations, limited liability partnerships and companies and professional corporations and in guiding clients through the necessary ongoing business formalities. Her practice extends to counseling common interest developments subject to the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act and advising clients about California prevailing wage law issues.
Ms. Lindsey Scott also has extensive experience in counseling and litigating partnership and corporate disputes and dissolutions, including dissolution of law practices, and general business litigation at trial level and through civil writs and appeals as necessary. She also has experience in real estate, construction and commercial bankruptcy matters. Reported cases in which Ms. Lindsey Scott participated include In re Johnston (9th Cir. 1994) 21 F.3d 323.
Ms. Lindsey Scott received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in French and Spanish from Syracuse University in 1978 and her Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law in 1984, where she was on the Dean’s List. Ms. Lindsey Scott was admitted to the California Bar and to the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California in 1984 and to the Northern District in 1987. Ms. Lindsey Scott is fluent in French.
